Around the Overijsselse Vecht, meadows and forests Ommen-Dalfsen

Your route starts at Brasserie De Wolventuin at Camping De Kleine Wolf. Just before Dalfsen you pass a lookout tower for a wide and beautiful view towards the Vechtdal and the wooded landscape on the Vecht. Dalfsen is also known as the Landgoederendrop, and on your bike you will soon find out why! Huize De Leemcule is a manor that has existed since 1434. De Ruitenborgh has been an important manor in the form of a castle since 1320. On the other side of the Vecht you will discover Den Aalshorst, a patrician country house from 1720 surrounded by a canal with buildings on either side of the forecourt. The Giethemer Kerkpad is the path over which the residents of Giethmen used to walk to the Ommen church, a beautiful shortcut!
