Your route starts at B&B Bij de Rode Beuken. Just outside Wichmond you pass Suideras Castle, which is located in a beautiful park-like forest. This country house was built in neo-Renaissance style at the end of the nineteenth century. However, the estate dates back to 1326. Den Bramel Castle is a country estate that dates back to 1396. The current house was largely built between 1720 and 1726. Vorden Castle is located in a fairytale park forest with streams. Behind the coach house is a beautiful vegetable garden called the Hof van Hackfort. There was already a house here in 1400, complete with outer bailey and moat. The current castle was built later. Kieftskamp Castle is surrounded by an extensive estate, which is publicly accessible. It was named after the lapwing, which used to be common here.
