This cycle route first runs along the city border of Maastricht on the Belgian side and via a piece of the Maas bank back to the old center. You cross the Maas via the Sint Servaas Bridge from where you have a beautiful view of the center of Maastricht. Via the Gronsveld Tower Mill and East Castle you reach Eijsden with the Eijsden Castle, which dates from 1636.
At Eijsden you cross both the Maas and the border with Belgium. Cycling along a beautiful stretch of the Maas bank you return to the Netherlands and via the factory complex of ENCI (First Dutch Cement Industry) back to Maastricht. Along the way you can visit some caves and view the impressive ENCI quarry.
