Description

From the Biesbosch information center you drive via the fortified town of Geertruidenberg and the nice old Oosterhout to Dorst. You will discover Boswachterij Dorst, a nature reserve that mainly consists of Scots pines that were planted on the heath in the early nineteenth century. Further on you drive a bit through the Markdal, an open meadow area where you regularly cycle close to the Mark river. You will also pass Bouvigne Castle, a centuries-old hunting lodge. Get off at De Kogelvanger! Then you drive into Breda where you can view the Grote Kerk, Breda Castle and the Beguinage. You also cycle past Brecht's House, which dates from the fourteenth century. A beautiful spot on the historic Cingelstraat. You cycle back to your starting point via the Markkanaal.
