Tour of Delft and Maassluis

Your route starts at Boer Pait / Boerderij Hoogendonk. Via Maasdijk you cycle to the beautiful old village of Schipluiden, along the lake Het Kraaiennest. Put your bike aside in the nice old Delft to get a taste of the atmosphere! Then you cycle through the Abtswoudse Bos, a polder area with trees, bushes, ditches, lakes and small ponds. This is a wonderful place to cycle. The art project 'Mother Earth', a hill in the shape of a woman's body, is located in the centre of the forest. At the highest point you have a beautiful view of the forest, the polder and the cities nearby. Maassluis became world famous in the nineteenth century due to a towing company. The Gemeentemuseum gives you a good impression of the interesting history of the harbour town.
