Monastery walk in Megen

This circular walk offers you the opportunity to explore the beautiful nature around the Clares and Franciscan monastery in the fortified city of Megen. Due to the large number of Franciscan brothers and sisters living in Megen, the city is also known as "Assisi on the Meuse," after the famous Italian pilgrimage site. The walking route starts at the Monastery of St. Anthony of Padua and takes you past sights such as the Chapel of the Seven Sorrows and the Poor Clare Monastery of St. Josephsberg.
