Tour of Spaarndam and Zorgvrij Information Farm

Your route starts with a cup of coffee at Café Restaurant De Toerist in lovely Spaarndam. The oldest part of Spaarndam is located on the western bank of the Spaarne. Here you see the Kolksluis from 1280: the oldest working lock in Europe! Around the lock you look out on a beautiful environment of centuries-old buildings. After a stop at your starting point for coffee or a delicious lunch, you walk to Zorgvrij Information Farm, in the middle of Spaarnwoude Park. Entrance is free. Here you will experience what life on an organic dairy farm entails. You can pet cows, tap milk and make cheese. You can also take a break at pancake restaurant Onder de Platanen or watch vegetables grow and harvest in De Tuinderij!
