Your route starts at Van der Valk Hotel Delft A4. You drive to the coast via the Ockenburgh estate. Via the Wennetjes steps you to the Westduinpark near Kijkduin. In this varied nature reserve with dense forests, open plains and steep slopes you will find viewpoints of more than 30 meters high. Then you come to the picturesque Scheveningen along the Tweede Haven, now a popular tourist attraction. After a beautiful shortcut through the Scheveningse Bosjes you come along Huis Te Werve, a monumental country estate in a protected nature reserve of 26 hectares. The country estate was built on the location of the medieval castle, built by a certain Floris van de Werve who lived around 1260. This castle was probably destroyed around 1350 during the Hoekse and Kabeljauwse wars.
