Tour of the De Stokte lookout tower near Dalfsen

Your route starts at Hotel and Restaurant De Barones. You walk through the forests near Dalfsen to the Overijsselse Vecht, the smallest of the large Dutch rain rivers. The water winds its way through a landscape in which times gone by have been preserved. You walk through pristine forests that sometimes lie on old river dunes, along flower-rich grasslands and of course along the beautiful river Vecht. In the hamlet of Welsum you will pass beautiful old farms. On the waterfront you will pass a lookout tower for a wide and beautiful view towards the Vechtdal and the wooded landscape on the Vecht: De Stokte Lookout Tower. On the other side is another small hamlet: Hessum. You will also see many estates - this has traditionally been a popular area!
