Tour of Losser and the German border area

Your route starts at Eetcafe't Raedthuys in Losser. In the Twente scenic landscape it seems as if time has stood still a bit here. You will still experience the peace and quiet of the past, but also the beauty of the old farmland with its stream valleys, rolling fields and deciduous forests. From here you walk towards the German border. You cross the Dinkel and then you bend towards the water of the Oelemars. This is a large sand extraction pit where sand is still extracted today. Around this pond you will find a recreational area that mainly consists of swamps and small heathlands. At the edge of the lake there is a lookout tower that you can climb to enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding area. then you walk back into Losser.
