City walk Schiedam past mills and museums

Schiedam is a beautiful destination for a city walk. The city is known for its jenever history, which is still very much present in the old ports and warehouses in the center. You start at the Havendijk Hotel in Schiedam. In the city center of Schiedam you will see beautiful Schiedam mills, the highest classic windmills in the world. Unique Dutch heritage, which is one of the six remaining examples of the original twenty stone tower city mills in Schiedam. In these city mills, malted grain was ground for the distillers who distilled malt wine for the jenever industry. De Drie Koornbloemen is the oldest of the bunch: it dates from 1770. You will see the highest one when you walk out of the center: the 42.5 meter high Molen Nolet. The route also passes nice museums, take one with you!
