Description
Jacob Cats was a famous poet and statesman in the 17th century. He grew up in Brouwershaven and this walking route introduces you to Brouwershaven as the youthful Jacob must have known it. Many buildings have since been demolished, so sometimes you will have to rely on your imagination to bring back the old Brouwershaven. The current appearance of Brouwershaven mainly dates from the period 1830-1870.
