TOP Nature walking route Mastbos

Enter the centuries-old Mastbos in any season and you will be treated to an enchanting spectacle. Amidst trees that have defied time for 500 years, you can quietly enjoy the sun's rays breaking through, falling leaves and winter scenes. This beautiful and varied walking experience along the junctions through the Mastbos near Breda is suitable for the whole family.

The walking route takes you further along the banks of the River Mark in the picturesque Markdal and past the enchanting Bouvigne Castle, which dates from the fifteenth century. During your tour you will also pass the Speelbos Boeverijen, where climbing and clambering are the order of the day. Located on the southern edge of Breda in the Ginneken district, the Mastbos is one of the oldest coniferous forests in the Netherlands and offers an impressive area to explore.

Do you want to catch your breath after your walk? Near the castle you will find the charming Ginnekenmarkt, a cozy triangular square with a village pump and a range of cozy cafes and restaurants. An authentic Brabant atmosphere to enjoy!
