Tour of sights around Ootmarsum

Your route starts at Hotel & Restaurant Mössems. From here you can easily drive to Ootmarsum, where you can visit the Ootmarsum Open Air Museum. Ootmarsum is one of the most beautiful towns in Twente, because it has managed to retain its historic character. You will automatically switch back here to enjoy the special atmosphere. Just above Vasse you will pass two eighteenth-century water mills in quick succession: the Mill of Frans and the Mill of Bels. Between Mander and Getelo you pass the Mander Circles just before the German border. They were constructed in the 1930s by textile manufacturer Jannink. This way, farmers can cultivate the soil better, because they don't have to turn their machines. You cycle back via the Bronzezeithof Uelsen and Havezate Brecklenkamp.
