Historical city walk through Schagen

The cozy Schagen is perfect for a nice city walk. In the town you will come across many historical buildings, but also the rebuilt Schagen Castle. During the route you will pass, among other things, the Vreeburg Farm and Carriage Museum, here you will get an idea of life in Schagen around 1900. In the center of Schagen you can admire several beautiful seventeenth-century buildings, including at the Loet and on the Markt. During the route you will also pass the Battle of the Somme Museum, located in the eastern castle tower of Schagen: the first and only museum in the Netherlands about the First World War.
