Tour of Langweer, Sint Nicolaasga and Lemmer

This route takes you through the area of the Frisian lakes. Here you drive on quiet roads through a landscape of vast meadows and waterways. From the saddle you can see the Slotermeer in the distance. A little later you drive into Sloten, a well-preserved fortified town where you can still taste the atmosphere of the past. Just past Teroele you pass a Frisian bell tower from 1723. Langweer is an old sailing village that was only accessible by water until 1856. Here you will find the beautiful Reformed Church from 1777. Just outside the village you look out over the Langweerder Wielen and see the Sweachmer mill. Via Sint Nicolaasga you drive to picturesque Lemmer where you look out over the IJsselmeer. The route ends at Herberg Boswijck B&B.
