From dunes to polders around Schoorl

Get a breath of fresh air in the Schoorlse Duinen
The first part of this route takes you through the northernmost part of the Schoorlse Duinen. In this area you can enjoy a beautiful varied landscape. Get a breath of fresh air along the coast and watch the waves that sometimes go wild, climb high dunes a little further away from the coast and then relax in the woods of the Schoorlse Duinen. This area used to consist only of sand, but this has changed in the last century. Nowadays you will find heaths and forests full of animals and plants. From the dunes you walk through the village of Bregtdorp into the typical polder landscape.

Restaurant De Bokkesprong at Hans and Stacey's
The end point of this walk is at Restaurant De Bokkesprong with Hans and Stacey in the pleasant town of Groet. The Grouter Mill
A windmill belongs to a Dutch polder landscape. On this route you walk past the Groetermolen from 1890. This polder mill drained the polder purely on wind power until 1977. That function was soon taken over by an electric pump. Nowadays the mill is used again in combination with the electric pumping station. Between 2011 and 2012, the mill was extensively restored.
