Description
In Kessel you will see Keverberg Castle, a uniquely restored ruin with a beautiful view over the Maas. Worth a visit! The beautiful green Gruise Epper nature reserve is beautiful to drive through. It is named after the road of the same name that runs here. It should actually have been called Grieze Upper: gray infertile sand, located high up. Fertilization changed the soil. The beautiful green landscape is no longer reminiscent of the barren soil of the past. In the Heldense Bossen you can cycle peacefully among the fragrant conifers. Just below Koningslust you pass through the Vlakbroek, a former swamp that once had an open connection with the Maas. Now you see lots of butterflies there.
