TOP Nature walking route Border Park Kalmthoutse Heide

National Park Border Park De Kalmthoutse Heide, located near Bergen op Zoom, is an area characterized by contrasts. Within this national park, heathland, fens and forest come together. This unique combination makes the park an extremely varied walking area that many consider their favorite.

During this beautiful walk near the Dutch-Belgian border, you walk on largely unpaved paths with an occasional difference in height. You pass deciduous and coniferous forests, heathland landscapes and drifting dunes. Listen carefully to the sounds in the forest during your walk. There's a good chance you'll hear a spotted woodpecker drumming on a tree. This walk is also suitable for children. It is a relatively simple tour that starts and ends at a campsite with a pancake restaurant. Here you can end your walk with a nice lunch.
