This is the 15th tour as part of the "Tour of the Netherlands". We park in the middle of the village of Diessen, next to the school in a parking lot. We drive via junction 1 to Hilvarenbeek, where we have a delicious cup of coffee. drinking near the beautiful St. Peter's Church. The 15th century tower is 40 meters high, the walls are one and a half meters thick. From Hilvarenbeek we drive on paved cinder paths through the woods. This is the Gorp de Leij estate. A clear stream, the Rovertse Leij, also runs through this very beautiful estate with a castle-like villa.
Many ancient finds have been made in Alphen (prehistory). They can be viewed in the Alphen regional museum.
At the station-looking building on Stationstraat in Alphen we drive towards Riel on a former railway track. A straight cycle path with meadows, buildings and forests on either side. From Riel past Goirle to Biest-Houtakker and then through the woods back to Diessen.
