Pub route Markelo to Eungs Schöppe Museum Farm

Your route starts at Holiday Park Buitencentrum Hessenheem. Markelo is a lovely town to walk through. The place has dozens of national monuments, including farms, outbuildings, estates and burial grounds. Eungs Schöppe Museum Farm houses a beautiful collection of traditional costumes from the period 1820-1940. You will also see a beautifully furnished kitchen/diner with a box bed. At the push of a button you will receive explanations in Dutch or Low Saxon, whatever you want! After a break at Grand Cafe De Kroon, in the heart of Markelo, you continue walking. The landscape around Markelo is slightly hilly and is characterized by rolling ash trees and five hills. In the authentic farming landscape of the Pothoek you can sample the atmosphere at Herberg De Pot before walking back to your starting point.
