Description
Mosterdgat is the nickname of this Hanseatic city because of its mustard factory. In 1447 Doesburg became a Hanseatic city with today (approx. 11,500 inhabitants) many old buildings and streets, located on the IJssel. Formerly a lively port city (beer, textiles, wine, pottery), but nowadays a lot quieter. Accessible by car (not by train) and with sufficient (paid) parking facilities on the outskirts of the city and along the IJssel.
