Tour of heathland on the Sallandse Heuvelrug

Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Haarlerberg. In National Park De Sallandse Heuvelrug you can enjoy forests and hilly heaths. Due to the height differences and the beautiful views in this area, it seems as if you are no longer in the Netherlands! In the authentic hamlet of Beuseberg you can see beautiful old farms. In Holten you can admire the beautiful village church from 1832 with its white plastered tower. As soon as you enter Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park, you will notice how quiet it is here. You cycle through fragrant and fresh forests and across the vast heath. In August and early September you will be enchanted by an endless purple plain. Just below Haarle you will pass the white'Palthekasteeltje\\\' with its characteristic square tower, on top of the Sprengenberg.
