Round Loen

From Hotel Restaurant De Loenermark you can walk straight into the nature of the Veluwe. First you walk along the Drroefakkers, a quiet road. Here you walk through a forest that has its origins in the tenth century. Many red and blue bilberries grow on the bottom. You will experience a pleasant peace in the middle of the forest. You continue on sloping paths and after a while you cross the Groenendaalseweg. Then you walk along the Vrijenberger Spreng. This was dug at the end of the 19th century, so that the water level of the Apeldoorns Canal could be maintained. Now the path along the spreng forms a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing walk. Finally, you walk a bit through Loenen, where you pass the nineteenth-century village church.
