Hike Gulpdal and Slenaken

This walking route takes you through the surroundings of Beutenaken and Slenaken. Here you will discover a rolling landscape full of variety and natural beauty. Put on sturdy shoes, because part of the route you walk on unpaved paths and through a stream valley. First you walk north, to Beutenaken. You can enjoy the peace and quiet here, while you alternately walk through forest and along grass and arable land. After a short cut through Beutenaken you walk through the Grote Bos, a remnant of what was once a much larger hillside forest. Between the trees you descend to the Gulp that meanders through the landscape here. You end up in Slenaken where you can admire some monumental half-timbered farms and the eighteenth-century Sint-Remigius church. The route ends at Hotel de Plank.
