Teutoschleife Holperdorper

The Teutoschleife Holperdorper is a perfect hiking route for nature lovers. The route is challenging and covers a distance of 13 km, passing through the hills of the Teutoburgerwoud and ending in the picturesque Holperdorperdal. Initially, the path follows the foot of the mountain range, surrounded by fields and forests. After a few minutes of walking you reach a small, unusual waterfall for the Munsterland. After crossing a small forest area, the landscape opens up again, giving you a beautiful view of the rural landscape.

On the first climbs, the canopy of the forest closes above you. Along the Bruggelieth source you reach the viewing platform on the edge of the large limestone quarry above Lienen. A few meters away is the beautiful Holperdorper Tal valley. You walk in a loop along the northern slope of the valley, where you cannot miss the striking rocks of Duvensteine. After traversing the valley to the south, the last stretch becomes wooded again. This is a wonderful setting for a rest in the forest inn Malepartus. Filled by the wonderful atmosphere, the last meters of the walking route fly by.
