Walk Delden and Twickel Estate

Shortly after the start you will pass the Markt, where you will see some beautiful monumental buildings. Just outside the village you walk onto Twickel Estate. Here you can take a look at Twickel Castle, the oldest parts of which date from the Middle Ages. The route then takes you through a landscape of forest and semi-open meadows. Walking along the Hamsweg you will see rebates on the left and right: small dams on which trees have been planted, with ditches in between that drain the water. At junction T03 you pass the Noordmolen, an idyllic spot. Further on you walk on a boardwalk through the Koematenveld, a wet heathland area. You then walk over the sloping Deldeneresch back to Delden where you pass the medieval Oude Kerk. Time for a terrace at Gasterij't Oaldershoes.
