This is the thirteenth route from the series'\\\'Tour of the Netherlands\\\'\\\'.
We start in Hulst, a neighborhood in Geldrop. We cross the bridge towards Eindhoven. Soon we see the trucks and buildings of the DAF appear on the left. A thriving business at the moment, but they have had other years as well. The canal is 14 km long and starts in Eindhoven. It connects the Zuid-Willemsvaart with Eindhoven. At the time, there was a need to transport via this waterway, but this was soon supplanted by railways and roads. The canal became less and less important.
Straight through Eindhoven through the city center past the station. Somewhat parallel to the railway line and further north along the edge of Eindhoven. Lots of nature along the Dommel and well-maintained cycling paths. Via the highway viaduct and a long wooden bridge over the Dommel to Best. When you say Best, you say Batadorp. Here are the famous shoe factories and houses for the staff. Back along the canal to Son en Breugel, a good place to stop. South back to the canal and at junction 9 across the Bokt. There is still an old-fashioned cooking house at junction 8. Continue along the Dommel to the Boordseweg, which leads to Nuenen. A nice detour through the Nuenens Broek will take you to Nuenen. You can also continue driving at 81-35, but that is a pity. Through nice Nuenen, known by Vincent van Gogh, we drive back to Hulst in Geldrop.
