Walking in South Limburg

Your route starts at Gasterij Berg & Dal. There's so much beauty to see in South Limburg! As you walk, you'll have the peace and quiet to admire all the half-timbered farmhouses and old churches. This route takes you past Hoogcruts and through the Gulp Valley between Slenaken and Beutenaken. The St. Remigius Church in Slenaken dates from 1783. Soon, at the intersection of Kerkdelstraat and Schilbergerweg, you'll pass the St. Anna Chapel, dating from 1715. Here and there, the route climbs slightly, with a slight climb. From the slopes of the ridges here, you'll have magnificent views. You'll also enjoy plenty of forests here: the Groote Bosch and the Branderbosch. In the Gulp Valley, you'll walk for a while right next to the water of the Gulp, a tributary of the Geul River.
