There is so much beauty to see in South Limburg that it is sometimes better to take a walk to admire all the half-timbered farms and old churches. This route takes you past Hoogcruts and through the Gulpdal between Slenaken and Beutenaken.
Gulpdal
Just before Slenaken, at the intersection of Kerkdelstraat and Schilbergerweg, you pass the St. Anna Chapel from 1715. The St. Remigius Church in the village dates from 1783. In the Gulpdal you can enjoy the peace and nature. From the walking path you can see the eighteenth-century Broekmolen, a striking white building, on the Gulp. After Beutenaken the route climbs briefly with a small calf bite.
Monument
In Terlinden you will see some beautiful nineteenth-century half-timbered farms. You also have beautiful views of the area. In addition to crosses and chapels, while walking you will also see a monument for Sergeant Roy L. Booher, KIA (Killed In Action) on September 12, 1944. He was the first American soldier to be killed during the liberation of the Netherlands.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
