De Hamert is a sub-area within the Maasduinen National Park. You drive through quiet forests, occasionally you see fields and fens. The ruins have been restored as an industrial monument. Just below Tuindorp you can see the characteristic river dunes that make the Maasduinen so unique. At Veerhuys Tante Jet you can enjoy a drink, Limburg pie or meal on the cozy terrace on the Maas. The service is run by volunteers from the surrounding villages. Unlike most regular ferries, this is not a chain ferry, but a loose-sailing boat with a top loading ramp. More than 40,000 passengers are ferried there every year. The ferry operates from April to October.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
