Cycling route Ice cream farm Vrederust

A day of cycling through a region with vast grasslands, gently rolling hills and extensive forests? This route makes it possible! First, you explore the Kromme Rijnstreek, a low-lying landscape of meadows, ditches and orchards. You pass Sterkenburg Castle, further along the Rhine and Weert, a corn mill from 1882. Werkhoven is rich in beautiful old buildings and therefore enjoys a protected village view. In Houten, you cycle through the historic city centre. Here you will see, among other things, the white twelfth-century Pleinkerk. On the edge of Zeist, you will pass Slot Zeist, a seventeenth-century pleasure garden. Then you cycle into the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park. One moment you are cycling along long avenues, the next between fragrant conifers. Enjoy!
