You get on your bike to discover De Kromme Rijnstreek. You pass Fort Vechten, where the Waterliniemuseum is located. From afar you can see the corn mill Rijn & Weert, dating from 1882. A little further on is Kasteel Beverweerd. The exterior of this castle has been restored to the state in which it was completed around 1850. Kasteel Sterkenburg is a knight's manor whose history goes back to the thirteenth century. The characteristic residential towers at Langbroek initially served as a defense, but later as a status symbol. From a distance you can see the picturesque Cothen again. The silhouette of this village is determined by the tower of the Catholic church and by the Oog in 't Zeil mill.
