Tour of the Sallandse Heuvelrug and Outdoor Center

Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Haarlerberg. You can take a wonderful bike ride between Nijverdal, Rijssen and Holten. Along the way, visit the Sallandse Heuvelrug Outdoor Center to find out everything about this beautiful national park. On the Sallandse Heuvelrug it is sometimes a bit of a climb. According to legend, the hills were created by a giant who carried a bag of sand with him. There may have been a hole in the bag through which the sand leaked out. The views of the beautiful surroundings are a great reward for your effort. The ancient juniper bushes are especially beautiful. One of the two remaining groups of grouse in the Netherlands still lives in this area. On your route you will also see some beautiful Saxon farms.
