Walk Ginkelse Heide

This route takes you through the Ginkel. A versatile part of the Veluwe, because you can walk through different types of landscape within a short distance. First you walk on an unpaved path along fields. Soon the agricultural lands make way for a beautiful forest. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for relaxing. Just past the Heidebloemplas you walk on leafy paths along meadows and fields. You walk along a boardwalk along the Kreelse Plas, after which you walk a few kilometers across the Ginkelse Heide. A beautiful setting with panoramic views. At the edge of the heath you pass a monumental sheepfold dating from the last half of the nineteenth century. You will also pass the Veluwe Nature Center. At Bloem Ede it is time for a drink and a snack.
