Ginkel Heath Walk

This route takes you through the Ginkel. A versatile part of the Veluwe, because you walk through different types of landscape in a short distance. First you walk on an unpaved path along fields. Soon the agricultural land makes way for a beautiful forest. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for unwinding. Just past the Heidebloemplas you walk on leafy paths along meadows and fields. On a boardwalk you walk along the Kreelse Plas, after which you walk a few kilometers over the Ginkelse Heide. A beautiful area with wide views. At the edge of the heath you pass a monumental sheepfold that dates from the second half of the nineteenth century. You also pass the Nature Center Veluwe.
