Walking through the Imstenraderbos

Just below Heerlen you can take a beautiful walk through nature. First you walk through the Imstenraderbos. Here you walk through rolling beech forest and past grasslands with standard fruit trees. You regularly have views over fields and fields. After a while you make a shortcut to the Keverberg. Here you pass a farm whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. In 1890, after it burned down, this building was rebuilt in neo-Gothic style. A little later you walk through the Putberg nature reserve. It is wonderful to walk here through the sloped forest. After a new crossing you return to the Imstenraderbos. You have a beautiful view of Heerlen here. You will also pass the Benzenraderhof, which was built on the foundations of a Roman villa. The route ends at Boscafé Diligence.
