Walking through the hayfields near Klarenbeek

From Camping De Vinkenkamp you can take a nice walk through the outskirts of Klarenbeek. You walk along fields and grasslands, but also on the leafy path along the Apeldoorn Canal. This waterway runs between Dieren and Hattem almost parallel to the IJssel. It was officially opened in 1829 and closed to shipping in 1972. At the Beekbergse Beek you pick up the Marskramerpad that runs from Bad Bentheim to The Hague. Make sure you have waterproof footwear, because the path can be a bit damp here and there. The advantage of this is that you will not encounter any cars, so that you can enjoy the natural beauty at your leisure. After a while you walk on asphalt again. You cross the canal again, after which you walk back to De Vinkenkamp.
