On foot through the center of Utrecht

Utrecht was one of the first places in the Netherlands to receive city rights. The city therefore has a long history, which is reflected in all the beautiful buildings that have been preserved in the historic center. Get to know this bustling city on foot.

Dom Church
Soon you will pass the Domkerk, which originally dates from the thirteenth century. The iconic Domtoren is the highest church tower in the Netherlands. Further on is the Pieterskerk, the oldest church building in the Netherlands. The Mart van Schijndelhuis is an architectural masterpiece that is on the list of monuments. A tour of the house is organized every first Sunday of the month.

When you walk through Utrecht, you will easily notice how cozy it is here. Old storage areas along the wharf are now used to house trendy shops, among other things. So there is plenty to do in Utrecht. You will also pass Stadskasteel Oudaen, a fortified medieval house. The Aboriginal Art Museum is one of the last of many attractions on your route.
