This route offers a varied day of cycling around Amersfoort and Soest. First, you'll cycle to Bunschoten, after which you'll ride through the polders to Zevenhuizen. Further on, you'll discover the charm of Stadspark Schothorst, a former estate. In the heart of Amersfoort, you'll see many beautiful historic buildings. One of the historical highlights is undoubtedly the Koppelpoort (Couple Gate), dating from 1425. The second part of the route takes you through the countryside around Soest, cycling for many kilometers through forests and along heathlands. Lage Vuursche is a protected village, and you'll see eighteenth- and nineteenth-century monuments. The Stulpkerk (Stuart Church) dates from 1650. You'll descend through the Laagte van Pijnenburg, where the forest consists mainly of deciduous trees. Via Groeneveld Castle and the Eem Valley, you'll cycle back to De Eemlandhoeve.
