Description
Between Utrecht, Zeist and Hilversum it is wonderful to cycle through all kinds of small-scale nature reserves. The first part leads you from Utrecht in the direction of Hilversum. You cycle through various forest areas such as the Erfgooiersbos and the Smithuyserbos. On the way to Baarn you pass Castle De Hooge Vuursche. This is an early 20th century castle-like country house. Many ornaments on the castle are related to shipping. This is because the original owner held the rank of lieutenant commander 1st class. The house is now one of the most beautiful wedding locations in Baarn.
