Walking tour through the Gooi

This walking route starts in Eemnes. In this town you will find several historic houses and an old town hall. Then you walk to Laren, for a long time a real farming village. In the middle of Laren you will find the Korenmolen Laren. It was built in 1724. The mill originally came from Naarden where it functioned as a water mill. The mill was in operation until about 1920. Then it fell into disrepair. The mill was tinkered with several times. Since 1996 it has been operational again. Then you walk into the countryside of Laren, onto the Zuiderheide. This heathland stretches between Laren and Hilversum and you will find burial mounds and heathlands there, among other things.
