Walk around the Gooi

This walking route starts in Eemnes. In this town you will find some historic houses and an old town hall. Then you walk to Laren, a real farming village for a long time. You will find the Korenmolen Laren in the middle of Laren. This was built in 1724. The mill originally came from Naarden, where it functioned as a water mill. The mill was in operation until about 1920. Then decline set in. The mill was tinkered with several times. It has been operational again since 1996. Then you walk into the outskirts of Laren, onto the Zuiderheide. This heathland area extends between Laren and Hilversum and you will find burial mounds and heathlands there.
