A walk through the Gooi

This walking route starts in Eemnes. In this town you will find some historic houses and an old town hall. Then you walk to Laren, a real farming village for a long time. In the middle of Laren you will find the Korenmolen Laren. This was built in 1724. The mill originally comes from Naarden where it functioned as a water mill. The mill was in operation until about 1920. Then the decline set in. The mill was tinkered with several times. It has been revolving since 1996. You then walk into the outskirts of Laren, onto the Zuiderheide. This heathland stretches between Laren and Hilversum and you will find burial mounds and heaths here.
