Tour of Het Laer, Besthmenerberg and Beneden Regge

Your walk starts at Camping De Koeksebelt. The Vechtdal consists of all kinds of different landscapes. Narrow paths along vast meadows, fields with wooded banks, sand drifts, estates, rivers, you will find it all here. On the 34 meter high Besthmenerberg there is a lookout tower that offers you a magnificent view of the area. You follow the course of the river the Beneden Regge for a while. At Nieuwebrug you cross the bridge to continue your way along the other bank of the river. You also take the church path that used to be used by the inhabitants of Giethmen to walk to church in Ommen twice on Sundays. The charming drawbridge over the Regge is an icon. On the way there and back you can enjoy the beautiful estate Het Laer.
