Bergen, Limburg, The Netherlands
Hiking route: 409886
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at De Wellsche Hut. The Bosserheide is a nature reserve in the De Maasduinen National Park. You walk between Scots pines and larches. A century ago, these species were planted here for the production of so-called mining wood, to shore up the mines in South Limburg. This route takes you through the coniferous forests here, along the remains of heathlands and drifting sand areas and along the shore of the Reindersmeer. This lake was created by gravel extraction, but now the lake is completely part of nature. You can grab a bench here to enjoy the peace and the beautiful view over the rippling water. With this route you cross the lake via a ferry, a fun experience!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
