Tour of the Tongeren Estate, Hidden Village and Elburg

Your route starts at Brasserie Boscafé Floor. Your route takes you past listening spot L59: The Hidden Village. Here you will hear the dramatic story about the Hidden Village: a secret hiding place that was founded in the woods in the spring of 1943. Three huts have been rebuilt, and some remains of the original huts can still be found. Landgoed Tongeren is one of the largest private estates in the Netherlands. It still has an old, small-scale cultural landscape that has been beautifully preserved. The Majuba nature reserve was named after a mountain in South Africa by a previous owner. It is part of the free game trail. You drive back via the pleasant old Elburg, where you can take a break at Restaurant't Olde Rechthuys!
