Tour Nieuwkerk, Roovert and Rielse Heide

Your route starts near the beautiful Vrijthof of Hilvarenbeek, a typical example of a Franconian market field. You cycle smoothly to Landgoed De Utrecht, formerly owned by the insurance company of the same name. Stop off for a cup of coffee at Boshuys Klein Utrecht! Then you cycle to Roovert, where you will find a mosaic of deciduous and coniferous forests, fields and grasslands. You follow the meandering Rovertse Leij through the forest to the north. Further on you drive through the Nieuwkerk estate, where there are some beautiful farms and a beautiful monastery in the middle of the forest. At Alphen you get on the Bels Lijntje, a cycle path over a former railway connection between Tilburg and Belgium. You cycle back to your starting point along the edge of the Regte Heide and the Riels Laag.
