Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Zwaan. The Sallands agricultural museum De Laarman is a fun and educational stopover, just like the Dijkman Klompenatelier Craft meets Art. From Luttenberg you cycle to Hellendoorn. The 40 meter high Hellendoorse Berg was named after the village that lies to the east of the hill. It is located in the larger nature reserve of the Sallandse Heuvelrug, but officially does not belong to this national park. A little later you cycle into the park. The hills were formed 200,000 years ago by glaciers from Scandinavia. You will see protected juniper bushes and lingonberries, also known as lingonberry. The Noetselerberg (59.5 meters) is quite a challenge, but rewards you with a beautiful view. You drive back via Haarle, past the sheepfold.
