Description
From Hoek van Holland you walk through the greenery to the beach. An ideal route for a walking date where you can talk to each other in peace. And you can enjoy cultural history, because you pass the Fort aan den Hoek van Holland, among other things. Around this fortress, built in 1881, there are still a few monumental homes, such as the fort guard's house and officers' mess. From the boulevard you have a beautiful view over the Nieuwe Waterweg. You walk through the dunes to the beach. It is wonderful to stroll here, and when the weather is nice you can paddle in the surf. After a while you walk into the Kapittelduinen. The landscape here consists of a mix of scrub, grassland, shifting sand and dune forest. Your walk ends with a drink at Restaurant Saam Hoek van Holland.
