This walking route takes you through the polders and through three estates in 's-Graveland. First you walk a bit through Ankeveen. Here you see the iconic Yellow Bridge. This drawbridge was demolished by the Germans during the Second World War, but was reinstalled in 2022. On the Verlengde Bergse Pad you walk through the Stichts Ankeveense Polder, a landscape that was created by peat extraction. Here you see grassland, swamp forest and peat holes. From junction 83 you walk through three connected country estates: Boekesteyn, Bantam and Schaep & Burgh. All three of these estates were built by Amsterdam merchants in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. It is beautiful to walk through the park forests here. You walk back to Ankeveen along the Stichtse Kade. At Restaurant 1244 you can enjoy a delicious meal.
