Round Boxtel and Liempde

A nice trip along the Brabant roads of the villages located just above the Kempen. Along the way you will see a lot of forest, heathland and poplar forests that were planted for the clog industry of the past and present. From your starting point just above Oirschot you quickly cycle to the Kampina and cross the enormous heathland that forms the heart of this wild nature reserve. De Scheeken consists of four hundred hectares of moist deciduous forests, swamp forests, meadows and poplar landscapes. The name is a combination of the words schei and oak; Plot boundaries used to be marked by dividing trees, especially oaks.
