Summer walk Hills around Maastricht

Start Chalet D\\\'n Observant near the ENCI Maasboulevard.

From the parking lot we walk the lower path on the left up the St. Pieter mountain.

Follow this path L - R up. Cross the road there and descend the

Vineyard Down Valley. Down L up to the Devil's Cave.

At the cave L along the pool up, straight ahead through the closing gate

and at the border post [52] turn right down through the turnstile.

At the bottom, cross the road past the Church, straight on L, cross the bridge, then turn L again

across the great white bridge.

Cross the bridge at the last crossing point and descend the bridge via the stairs.

Walk under the bridge and first walk L along the canal.

Along the marina at the end of the road R via Military Domain to

Fort Eben Email. At main entrance  equal R  up. End of the path to L follow road to cove L with entrance Fort Plateau above here R follow the path along fields until fork then R past the lookout at  the renovated  lock complex of Ternaaien.... We then continue via the forest path

Through the bosschage at the end of L past fields.

At the narrow entrance indicated with a blue sign L the nature reserve

of the Montagne Sant Pierre. Continue to follow the path descending to a grassy field. to R.

Possibly lookout post over channel L Be careful with steep abyss!!

Cross the lawn to the next gate   and the next gate L continue the descent. Down via an asphalt road until the bend goes straight on here. Follow the path through the entrance gate

Follow the path along quarries R and informative wooden sheep L to the end.

Through gate L down the stairs path R and 1st goats path R steeply up  there  straight on the Plateau of the Montagne

cross and descend. Down R past sculpture gallery L and entrance to marl quarry R  end of the road to L over bridge and then immediately R along the Geer

about path [ Biotope de la Guizette]

Straight on cross the road straight R and L down the Wirehet.

Continue to follow these. At the end of the path cross the road R and first L onto the Avergat at the narrow entrance to the quarry turn L then R up at the end of the path L.

At the top of the monument L up to information signs [view] turn L at the end of the road R and end of the road R down the Zusserdel. there R and immediately L towards the stairs of the bridge. cross this L bridge and continue on the  road.

End of the road to L [Muizenberg] after 100 meters R path to Chateau Neerkanne  walk through the complex and immediately go up the path L.

We walk above the Chalet here, follow the path upwards and turn R at the fork and continue the orange route upwards.

At the top we go R down to the Apostelhoeve where we go on the R side via the

path down the steep slope cross the road below and continue on the path.

Cross the bridge along the fish ladder, cross the road at the end of the path and walk up the path L from the farm [St. Pieter berg] At the top we leave the Pieterpad L at the start/finish. Walk along the lookout of the Eagle Owl Valley go down the R road at the end of the road, walk past the new lookout post of the ENCI quarry and at the end of the road go R down to the Koninginnenpad which we descend  and continue to descend past the Slavante country house.

Downstairs we cross the road and go R down along the Meuse walk down this to past the entrances of the ENCI, cross the road again here and go L and R via the access road to the Chalet D\\\'n Observant where we can enjoy this walk for a while....

In case of bad weather, also take a look at the Alternative route that has been made...

There are also the shelters in case of rain-thunderstorms...

But at all times during rainfall and thunderstorms, do not descend or go on the open plains - Plateaus...
