An eight through Heythuysen and the Leudal

Your route starts at Boscafé de Busjop. You first take a walk into the village, Heythuysen is a pleasant place. In Napoleon's time it was part of the Nedermaas department, which was divided into cantons. For some time under the French occupation it was'capital\\\' of a canton, hence it is locally called'Little Paris\\\' - Little Paris. After a stopover at your starting point (just in time for lunch, or coffee with something delicious!) you walk through the Leudal nature reserve. It is named after the Leubeek, which meanders through it so beautifully. You will see beautiful stream valleys, forest fens and inland dunes. This route also takes you to a heathland area, which gives a completely different picture of the Leudal.
